New Boutique Vinnies Shop To Open In Thirroul

A new Vinnies Shop will open in Thirroul this Saturday, giving locals an opportunity to find pre-loved treasures at bargain prices while supporting people in need.

As part of the opening celebrations, customers will receive an entry to win a $50 in-store gift voucher with every item purchased until Sunday 29 September, with the winner drawn on Monday 30 September.

Vinnies NSW CEO Jack de Groot said Vinnies Shops have been well loved in communities across Australia for over 100 years, and have now evolved to become fashion-forward destinations for shoppers of all incomes and backgrounds.

“There is a great deal of affection for our shops that leads people to return regularly, along with donating their pre-loved, quality items to Vinnies so that they can be enjoyed by someone else.

“Our staff and volunteers have worked very hard to launch this beautiful shop. We encourage everyone to drop in and experience it for themselves,” Mr de Groot said.

Last financial year, 31% per cent of the total revenue generated by Vinnies NSW came from Vinnies Shops, enabling the organisation to support tens of thousands of people experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, disability, poverty and other forms of disadvantage.

Shops are run by a dedicated group of volunteers and staff. In 2018-19, more than 7,000 retail volunteers devoted in excess of 1.5 million hours of service to support shops across the state.

Locals interested in volunteering at the new Thirroul store are encouraged to contact local Retail Operations Manager, Kerrie Meehan on 0491 333 457 or apply directly at http://bit.ly/thirroulvols19.
