One week out and a million dollars in

Donations to the annual Vinnies CEO Sleepout in Sydney were set to hit $1 million today, halfway towards the city’s share of the $6.4 million national target.

Among those fundraising for Vinnies’ services for people experiencing homelessness are:

  • NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro
  • David Vitek, CEO and Co-Founder of hipages and Business Development Manager, Mathew Kratiuk who has experienced homelessness himself
  • Justin Fischer, CEO of Brüllen and former contestant on Married at First Sight
  • Monika Tu and Jad Khattar, CEOs of Black Diamondz Property Concierge, a married couple celebrating their wedding anniversary at the event
  • Steve Traplin, CEO of Groupon ANZ
  • Alistair Venn, Managing Director at Menulog
  • Shane Richardson, Managing Director at Coca-Cola Amatil
  • Richard Bowden, CEO of Bupa ANZ, plus much of the Bupa Executive Team
  • Anna Carrabs, CEO of King Living
  • Tim Bailey, CEO of Zurich Financial Services
  • Georgette Nichols, CEO of Genworth
  • Jane Lu, CEO of Showpo
  • Christine Forster, City of Sydney Councillor

Altogether, more than 330 CEOs have signed up for this year’s Sydney event. Heading the sponsorship leaderboard today were  Matthew Hyder of Legacy Property and Robert Kelly of Steadfast Group– see the full list here:

The founder of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout, Bernard Fehon – awarded an OAM this week for his services to the community – said: “It’s fantastic to see so many joining the cause in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout’s thirteenth year.

“But with homelessness growing in New South Wales, donations and sponsorship are as important as ever. Please give generously, because no-one wants to spend another night in the cold.”
