NEW Vinnies Greystanes Shop Opens Saturday 8th December
A new flagship Vinnies Shop will open at Greystanes in the heart of Western Sydney on Saturday 8th December 2018. The bright and contemporary 1,000m retail space delivers an exceptional customer experience, challenging preconceived notions of secondhand shops being dusty, daggy, or out of style.
The eagerly anticipated opening of one of the largest Vinnies Shops in NSW will be officiated by the Mayor of Cumberland Council, Clr Greg Cummings.
The Grand Opening celebrations on Saturday are not to be missed with Vinnies gift voucher prizes for shoppers, free Vinnies re-usable shopping bags for the first 50 customers and free face painting for children.
The new-look Vinnies Greystanes offers a full selection of pre-loved and near new clothing, accessories, furniture, homewares, bric-a-brac, books and toys to choose from, whilst keeping true to its proposition of good quality stock at value-for-money prices.
According to Vinnies NSW CEO Jack de Groot, Vinnies is part of the Australian shopping vernacular and he is certain that customers will enjoy this new shopping experience.
“We’re very proud and excited to be opening a new Vinnies Shop in Western Sydney. We are redefining the way people think of opshops, moving towards an enticing and inspiring experience.
“Vinnies Greystanes showcases lifestyle merchandising where shoppers can see exactly how treasures found at Vinnies can work in their wardrobes and in their homes. We want our customers to have a positive shopping experience because it is key to repeat visits and also encourages them to donate their unwanted, good quality, pre-loved items to Vinnies,” said Mr de Groot.
“Our retail team, including staff and volunteers, have worked very hard to put together this beautiful shop. We encourage everyone to drop in and experience it for themselves.”
Last year 33 per cent of the total revenue generated by the Society in NSW came from Vinnies Shops, enabling the Society to support Australians experiencing disadvantage in local communities. This includes providing over $1.9 million dollars in assistance, in the form of food vouchers, free clothing, furniture and household goods, and other homelessness prevention measures, and offering warm meals to over 8,700 people in the local Parramatta area.
