If you need help, call us on 13 18 12 or email us at vinnies@vinnies.org.au
Vinnies offers essential services and most have not been disrupted by either COVID-19 itself or stay-at-home orders. We are here to help – as always. In some cases, we’ve had to adjust how we provide that help for the safety of our members, volunteers, and staff. However, at a time when we’re seeing people who’ve never come to a charity before in their lives, we are still here to provide support.
For general updates on services offered by the St Vincent de Paul Society NSW, please see below.

- home visits changed to no contact letterbox drops only
- Over the phone assessments and intake.
- It is emailing Coles vouchers to people we assist
Gosford: The Gosford Support Centre is working via telephone calls where we can make an assessment and then organise assistance. The conferences are completing assessments via phone and then delivering food cards to people’s letterboxes. Other assistance is being organised by phone.
Harris Park: Harris Park Vinnies Support Centre will be closed due to COVID Restrictions, until further notice for walk ins. Calls are welcome.
We are:
- assisting with food (food vouchers)
- and other items, (current and up to date income statements required)
Hornsby: The Hornsby support centre is closed to all walk ins while we are in lockdown but we remain here at the centre with 1 – 2 volunteers and the VSCC to offer emergency food and food vouchers for all clients.
Hurstville: The Hurstville centre is helping clients over the phone and via email.
Rozelle: There is no-one on site at Rozelle. All assessments are now done over the phone by the support centre. We have digital Coles e-cards that we can send to people needing assistance, who can either order online or take to a Coles shop.
Penrith: The centre is currently seeing people at the door only.
Sutherland: Currently, we are helping via telephone and conducting letter box drops. PWA have access to digital foods cards if needed too, to eliminate face to face contact.
