Keeping Kids Cheerful through COVID-19

In times of hardship, it’s amazing to see how our community comes together. Our new volunteer, Paul, got in touch after COVID-19 struck. As a Qantas Customer Service Manager with responsibility for all inflight operations, his role is currently on hold and he wanted to spend his time helping others.
Paul picked up toys and board games from our support team in Redfern and delivered them to children quarantined at the Sydney Harbour Marriott having returned from overseas, assisted by his beautiful Cavoodle dog, Ralph, our newest and possibly cutest Vinnies volunteer.
“Just wanted to say a big thank you and a virtual hug from the Marriott team for yourself and the Vinnies team.” Said Ace Mamun, Marketing and Communications Manager of Marriott International, “We really appreciated your support for our quarantined little ones as I'm sure it'll make a massive difference for them through their time in confinement.”
It’s great to see people who may not have previously had the time to help out in their community looking for ways to give back during this difficult time.
