Amélie Housing Lodges Development Application in Albury

Amélie Housing, the Community Housing Provider which is a subsidiary of St Vincent de Paul Society NSW, has lodged a development application (DA) with AlburyCity to develop affordable community housing targeting people aged over 55.

Brian Murnane, CEO of Amélie Housing, said the application was to redevelop the complex at Quamby House, 401-407 Olive St.

“Our design incorporates a community centre we’ll be building with the generous bequest the Society received from the late Justice John Nagle who had a long association with Albury,” says Mr Murnane.

“We lodged the DA with AlburyCity but it will be determined by the Southern Joint Regional Planning Panel. Council will assess the application, including any community input, and then report the application to the Planning Panel.”
