The Canberra Centenary Sleepout is a new initiative that provides an opportunity for the Canberra community to come together to support the services provided by St Vincent de Paul Canberra/Goulburn and Communities@Work to improve the lives of the homeless and those doing it tough in our community.

The Sleepout will be held on Friday 25th October at the Australian Institute of Sport Track and Field Complex.
Paul Trezise, CEO of St Vincent de Paul Canberra/Goulburn, urges people to get involved in this community event, to not only raise much needed funds, but to raise awareness of those in need in our community. “It is fitting in the year of our Centenary that we should consider those in the community less fortunate than ourselves. The Centenary Sleepout provides a great opportunity for the Canberra community to do something practical to assist those in need.“

“I believe that the Centenary Sleepout will allow families a glimpse of what life is like for those sleeping rough” says Mr Trezise.
Lynne Harwood, CEO of Communities@Work, says “This is a great opportunity for Communities@Work to collaborate with St Vincent de Paul to let the community know about the work that we both do in the community and how to get involved.”
The Centenary Sleepout is sure to be a unique experience for the Canberra community and is open to individuals, families or teams. To register visit
