Learn to Give
Learn to Give enables students to practically apply their tertiary education knowledge and skills to real world industry challenges. By working with Vinnies in the not-for-profit sector, students become engaged with their local communities, learn to be socially responsive and create meaningful outcomes.
What is a Learn to Give project?
Learn to Give students design, plan and implement a community-focused fundraising event. Projects must raise awareness for social justice issues and fundraise a minimum of $500 for Vinnies programs.
This unique hands-on opportunity empowers students to choose their own project focus and manage an event from start to finish. Largely self-directed, students work independently with support from Vinnies professional staff.
Who can participate?
Learn to Give is suitable for practical industry experience coursework, internship or volunteer requirements for tertiary education students studying business, marketing, communications, events, fundraising, project management, social impact and social justice among other subjects.
