Vinnies Soup Vans
Vinnies operates five soup van services throughout metropolitan Melbourne that feed over 879 people every night.
Vinnies can work with you to provide meaningful employee volunteering experiences as part of our Soup Van Program operations that are educational, rewarding and give your employees an insight into homelessness in Melbourne.
We have a full day program which involves food preparation in the afternoon and food distribution at night.
Our recommended corporate volunteer group size is six people.
For your volunteer experience, Vinnies will provide:
- A dedicated team leader to supervise the volunteers
- Trained volunteers to buddy and mentor your employees during their experience
- A comprehensive introduction on homelessness and the soup vans so your employees understand the importance of the work they are doing
- A complete OH&S briefing
- A summary of your experience including pictures of your employees in action
Volunteer Experience Fees
Our Corporate Volunteer Experience Program provides all resources, insurances and leadership to ensure your experience is meaningful, well-structured and rewarding.
All income raised from our Corporate Volunteer Experience Program directly contributes towards the operational costs of running our Soup Van Program which services inner Melbourne 365 nights per year.
Costs for a hosted volunteer experience on the Soup Vans for a group of six volunteers is $1,000 + GST.
