Supporting the Vinnies Winter Appeal

Over 39,000 people in the ACT and NSW experience homelessness on any given night, a staggering statistic that Vinnies knows all too well.

This Winter Appeal looks at Australia’s rapidly increasing poverty that is having a devastating impact on the lives of millions of people around the country. Hunger, homelessness and isolation are the hallmarks of a life without sufficient income or financial means. But for older Australians the burden of poverty is even greater. Not only are they struggling to make ends meet, they are often doing so alone, isolated and without the social support they so desperately require.

Your support of the Vinnies Winter Appeal will provide more than immediate help.

Some of the ways you can help include:

  • Holding a blanket drive in your workplace
  • Holding a drive for non-perishable food items
  • Holding a fundraising event to support the Vinnies Winter Appeal
