St Vincent de Paul Society (Tasmania) Inc. provides children from low-income families with experiences that other families take for granted.
Who can access this service?
Kids Camps and Kids Buddy Days are run for children and teenagers from low-income backgrounds.
Where is the service located?
The Society's younger volunteer groups run several Kids Camps and Kids Buddy Days every year. Kids Days Out aim to provide children from low-income backgrounds with an opportunity to experience recreational activities they would otherwise miss out on, such as visits to the Zoo, the Aquarium or to the movies.
Who benefits from this service?
Some families are not able to give their children the experiences that other families take for granted. For many children these camps are their only chance for a holiday during the year.
Can I volunteer for this service?
If you are an enthusiastic, youthful or young at heart person who would like to empower all children to be the best they can be and provide children with positive opportunities in life, then we would love you to join as a leader on a Kids Buddy Day or Camp!
