What is the St George Sutherland Community Support Services (Specialist Homelessness Service)?
This service supports unaccompanied adults and families in the Hurstville, Kogarah, Rockdale and Sutherland Shire Local Government Areas. It provides a range of support including:
- Early intervention support to prevent homelessness, incorporating the Sutherland and Hurstville Community Support Centres
- Supported transitional accommodation
- Crisis accommodation for single women/women with children who have experienced domestic/family violence and/or homelessness including Amelie House and Marian Villa
- Rapid rehousing
- Intensive responses for clients with complex needs
Who can access this service?
This service supports unaccompanied men and women over the age of 18 years; women/women with children under the age of 16 years who have experienced domestic/family violence; and families with children under the age of 16 years including single parents.
