What is Macarthur Ozanam Centre?
The Macarthur Ozanam Centre (MOC) consists of two crisis accommodation refuges; Vinchez Family Refuge and Allambie Outreach Housing. The programs work with people over the age of 18 years who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of being homeless.
Who can access this service?
We can assist anyone over the age of 18 years, regardless of where they come from. Vinchez Family Refuge assists women with accompanying children and Allambie Outreach Housing is an extension of this, offering further supported housing.
Where is the Macarthur Ozanam Centre located?
Our services are split between two different locations within the Macarthur Local Government Area. We operate 24/7, due to the nature of some services provided and keep our location confidential. The address will be advised to the person we are assisting at time of confirming accommodation.
Who can benefit from this service?
MOC takes a flexible and individual approach. We have strong partnerships with other key services such as Housing NSW, Community Housing as well as other community agencies. If we cannot help, we may know who can.
Can I volunteer at the Macarthur Ozanam Centre?
Due to the sensitive nature of the Vinchez program and under the Anti-Discrimination Act, the people we assist within the Vinchez program can only be supported by female staff and volunteers with appropriate experience.
There are opportunities for volunteers at Allambie Housing.
As the programs have children on their sites all staff and volunteers require a Working with Children Check before starting.
