What is Jim Da Silva Farm?

Jim da Silva Farm Nowra is a joint venture of the St Vincent de Paul Society and the NSW Department of Housing providing medium to long term accommodation for men experiencing homelessness who are dealing with ongoing drug and alcohol issues, mental illness, emotional disturbances and/or mild developmental delay.

The peaceful rural setting allows the residents breathing space and time to address their often complex and hugely challenging situations.  The Jim da Silva Farm is more like a home offering a safe, secure and stable community where shattered lives are rebuilt.

The service promotes personal growth by developing new work and living skills which can lead to independent living and employment. The service allows the men to reclaim their lives in a safe space where each person is respected, treated with dignity and develops hope for the future..

Jim Da Silva Farm is an alcohol and drug free environment.
