What is the service?
The Referral Centre is similar to a call centre where people seeking assistance phone a local phone number and their details and request for assistance is recorded by one of the volunteers. All calls are then forwarded to the relevant Conference to make a home visit and provide assistance.
Who can access this service?
All people seeking assistance in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas, and parts of the Lower Hunter and Port Stephens areas.

It is a centralised services located in Newcastle.

The Referral Centre provides a service for people seeking assistance and also a valuable service for the local Conferences so that correct information is gathered and passed on to the Conference in the correct area.
Can I volunteer for this service?
Yes volunteers are always welcome. The Referral Centre is run by 3 volunteers each day, Monday to Friday, 9am to 12.30pm.
