This is a central assistance hotline for anyone who is experiencing financial hardship.
Where is the service located?
This service covers the local council areas of:
- Blue Mountains;
- Holroyd, Parramatta;
- Penrith; and
- The Hills
Who benefits from the Family Assistance Hotline?
Anyone who is experiencing financial hardship may benefit from the service. Our call centre staff will forward your request for assistance to the volunteer members located nearest to you. Our volunteer members will then make a home visit and provide the relevant assistance.
Emergency relief may be given in the form of food parcels, food vouchers, and assistance with utility bills, clothing, furniture and referral. The assistance given is based on the assessment conducted by our volunteer members at the time of the home visit.

Contact: 13 18 12 Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm and press option 4 to be directed to your nearest assistance centre. If you are not directed to your correct area please call 13 18 12 press option 6 to speak with an operator who can best direct your call.
