It is a project run by the CDAH Animation for people who are social housing tenants in the Campbelltown region of NSW. The residents are emerging or leaders for change in their community and are working towards a better future for their children and community. The residents are involved in issues that directly affect them and do not hesitate in communicating with decision makers on the direct impact of policy changes that impact on income, housing, community safety, employment, health or transport.
Where is the service located?
The project is based in Campbelltown, the community animators outreach in the Rosemeadow, Ambarvale and Claymore and with established connections with residents in Minto, Macquarie Fields and Airds.
Who benefits from this service?
The people who benefit are social housing tenants from the above mentioned suburbs women, men and children of all ages.
Can I volunteer for the service?
Yes, you can volunteer to assist at the Kalon Community lunches, as a student intern, as a researcher, as project support (community outreach or assisting with public meetings).
