What is the Nagle Centre?
The Nagle Centre is a family care and support service for people and families experiencing crisis and disadvantage in the Macarthur region of NSW.
The Nagle Centre is a joint venture between the Presentation Sisters, Wagga Wagga and St Vincent de Paul Society, Wollongong Central Council.
Who can access this service?
Everyone is welcome at the Nagle Centre. There is a particular emphasis for people and families experiencing crisis and needing support.
Where is the service located?
The Nagle Centre is located at 22 Iolanthe Street, Campbelltown NSW.
Who benefits from the service and what is available?
People who are experiencing disadvantage and homelessness in the Macarthur region can benefit from the crisis and emergency assistance we offer.
This assistance is provided by case workers and can take many forms, including help with utility bill payments, advocacy, referrals to brokerage services or clothing vouchers. Appointments are required to ensure we’re able to assist you as best we can.
FREE COUNSELLING is available at the Nagle Centre by appointment.
The Nagle Centre is also home to the open door dining room, which provides a number of meal services throughout the week:
Breakfast 9am to 10.30am weekdays
Lunch 12pm to 1.30pm weekdays
Dinner 5.30pm to 6.45pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays
We also have a partnership with Orange Sky Australia to provide people the opportunity to have their washing done while they enjoy a meal in our dining room. The Orange Sky Laundry Service is available between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Tuesday evenings.
Local St Vincent de Paul Society membership groups, known as Conferences, are also able to assist with food vouchers and home visits. Referrals can be made from the Nagle Centre for the Macarthur region.

Wellness support programs
- Anxiety Support Group (for people experiencing anxiety disorders and their carers)
- Beginner’s Guitar Group (for people experiencing anxiety disorders and their carers)
- Therapeutic Yoga (for people who have experienced trauma and disadvantage) and General care and support
A free literacy course for basic reading and writing skills is conducted at the Nagle Centre each Monday in partnership with Macarthur Community College.
Clemente program – university course
Free tertiary education provided in partnership with Australian Catholic University (ACU) is offered at the centre on Wednesdays.
Can I volunteer for this service?
While the Nagle Centre operates with a handful of paid workers, the majority of work is carried out by dedicated volunteers who help out in our kitchen, carry out maintenance or provide administrative support. We welcome any enquiries to volunteer.
