What is Elsie Women's Refuge?
Elsie Women’s Refuge is a crisis accommodation and case management service for women with children who have experienced domestic/family violence. We provide safe shared accommodation with individual bedrooms.
The service operates within a client centred service delivery framework based on the principles of safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration and empowerment and incorporates both trauma informed and culturally competent practices.
Who can access this service?
Elsie Women’s Refuge provides support to women over the age of 18 years, with accompanying children, who have experienced domestic/family violence.
Referrals can be made via Link2Home on 1800 152 152, the Domestic Violence Line on 1800 656 463 or through our Central Intake Line on (02) 9560 2656.
Where is the service located?
We are located in the Inner West of Sydney.
Who benefits from Elsie Women's Refuge services?
We specialise in supporting women and children who have experienced domestic/family violence through a dedicated team of support workers, case workers and partnerships with other specialised and mainstream services.
Elsie Women’s Refuge has access to transitional accommodation. Those accessing these properties will continue to be supported by case workers to achieve their long term goals.
