Julia Cambage | VIC CEO

In March 2022, Julia Cambage commenced as CEO of the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria. Julia is an experienced CEO who has a demonstrated track record with not-for-profit enterprises.

A leader with more than 20 years’ experience as a CEO, most recently as CEO of the Australian Institute of Architects – where she drove a business transformation process across nine sites, enabled membership growth and helped cultivate an organisation that is future ready – is a people person who is purpose-driven. Prior to this role, Julia spent six years working with one of Australia's oldest for-purpose charitable organisations – TRY Australia.

Julia is collaborative in approach, ideas driven and results oriented, able to facilitate and drive complex processes and relationships and considered by peers as someone who makes a difference, provides clear leadership and delivers.

Julia is delighted to have been asked to serve St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria in this role. She says she is compelled by the organisation’s “purpose to make a positive, meaningful impact that matters” and looks forward to working with members, volunteers and employees and helping realise St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria's three-year aim to empower fellow Victorians experiencing disadvantage and marginalisation.

“I am honoured to have been asked to serve St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria in this role. It is a privilege to be part of an organisation that has so faithfully served the Victorian community for so long. I have long admired the work done by all areas of the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria and I am compelled by its purpose to make a positive, meaningful impact that matters.

“I look forward to working with the Board, State Council, Senior Leadership Team and all of you to further the mission of the St Vincent de Paul Society here in Victoria.”
