Managing my finances

Critical life incidents and events such as unemployment, displacement, or chronic illness may often lead to individuals or families facing crisis. The St Vincent de Paul Society provides assistance to people in need in any way they can.

In many cases, our help can be as simple as helping to pay off an urgent, debilitating bill, or a food voucher to help a family make it through to their next pay. In every state and territory, the Society helps people through difficult times with the goal of eventually taking back control of their finances.

We provide a range of financial support services on a one-on-one basis for people seeking assistance. As well as providing vouchers for food and goods, we can help people pay for utility bills and unexpected expenses, and, in some states, we provide access to special loans schemes as well as financial literacy programs for individuals and families to help them formulate realistic budgets and stick to them.
