Young Adult Conferences

The most common way people get involved in Vinnies is by joining a conference. A conference is a group of vibrant and talented young people, generally aged between 17 and 35, who meet regularly to plan activities and support each other in the work they do.

The term 'Conference' comes from the French language meaning 'coming together to meet'. Most Vinnies Youth Conferences meet once a month and, while members are often engaged in a variety of activities, there is usually one special work (often planning recreational days for disadvantaged children) that the conference will choose as its focus. In Victoria...

There are Young Adult Conferences in various locations around Victoria.
These Conferences are involved with works such as Home Visitations, Soup Van, Kids Days Out, Fundraising, and other works.
Currently we have 16 Young Adult Conferences, these are; Baw Baw, Bennettswood, Booroondara, Brimbank, Brunswick, Burwood, Casey, Diamond Valley, Doncaster, Fitzroy, Geelong, Kids' Camps, Outer East, South Eastern, Straphmore and Western.
