Vinnies Youth in Canberra/Goulburn...
Vinnies Youth is a group of young volunteers aged 16-35 years, and aim to assist disavantaged children in the region.
Vinnies Youth organise holiday camps and activities for children aged 6-12 years old from families suffering some disadvantage. Holiday camps also cater for children aged 9-15 years, who are caring for a family member with an illness or disability at home, and in need of respite.
Youth Camps and Activities - St Joseph the Carpenter Conference
St Joseph the Carpenter Conference runs camps and activities for disadvantaged children aged between 6 and 12 years. The camps are usually 5 days in length, and are run in each school holiday period. Volunteers must be aged 16 years or over. Day activities are run every month, ranging from movies, picnics, and game nights.
Young Carers Camps and Activities - St Nicolas Conference
Young carers camps are designed specifically for young people aged 9 to 15 years, who care for someone in their family with an illness or disability. St Nicolas Conference run 2 camps a year, and provide day activities each month such as picnics, movies, bowling, and swimming. Volunteers must be 21 years and over.
