The Canberra/Goulburn Central Council provides assistance for all those living within the Canberra/Goulburn archdiocese.
The Canberra/Goulburn archdiocese is bounded by the northern boundary of the Shire of Eurobodalla, thence in a northerly line to the junction of Eurema Creek and the Shoalhaven River; thence to a point between Marulan and Tallong; thence by the Wollondilly, Abercrombie, and Lachlan Rivers to the point where the southern boundary of the Shire of Waugoola crosses the Lachlan River; thence by the southern boundary of the Shire of Waugoola and the southern and western boundaries of the Shire of Jemalong to the point where the western boundary crosses the Lachlan River; thence by the Lachlan River to a point 4.83 km S.W. of Gunniguldrie; thence in a southerly direction to a point on the main Griffith railway, 9.66 km west of Binya; thence in a south-easterly direction to a point on the Southern Railway 3.22 km S.W. of Bathungra; thence in a southerly direction (omitting Nangus) to Bago on the Bago Creek; thence south-easterly by the main range to the west of the Tumut River, and the south-west of Mt. Kosciusko to the Victorian border at the source of the Murray River; thence in a straight line to the Pacific Ocean at Cape Howe. Area: 88,000 sq km.
