The St Vincent de Paul Society National Council of Australia highlights the challenges faced by those struggling to secure employment, emphasising the importance of job security during the economic recovery.

It addresses issues such as the impact of the pandemic on vulnerable groups like single parents, people seeking asylum, women, young people and those on temporary visas and the importance of job security for these cohorts.

The Society expresses concerns about the Fair Work Amendment (Supporting Australia's Jobs and Economic Recovery) Bill 2020 and advocates for principles that prioritise workers' rights, human dignity, and the common good in labour market reforms.
