Maryfields Day Recovery Centre, Campbelltown

 

Treatment program for alcohol and other drugs and gambling

 

Maryfields Day Recovery Centre has been in operation since June 1998 and is a special works of the St Vincent de Paul Society, Wollongong Diocese. The program is funded by the NSW Department of Health.


Operating as abstinence based Day Program; Maryfields Day Recovery Centre provides a comprehensive 13 week program that is structured around educational and therapeutic group work. Social and support networks are also developed and continue through to Aftercare.


Individualised action plans are developed with each client to ensure that maximum gains are made both during and after the program. Within a wholistic framework, the program addresses the issues that often underlie alcohol, other drugs and gambling problems, as well as current issues that have resulted from these problems.


The Maryfields program works on the premise of educations and group work. One on One counselling is also offered during the program. We have developed partnerships with organizations to address issues of education employment, mental health, physical health, Centrelink and physical fitness. Other educations cover physical effects of Alcohol and other drugs, anger, relationships, stress, grief and loss, budgeting, gambling, nutrition and others.


Our structured Family Program is conducted each Friday and recognizes that it is not only the individual that is impacted by problematic alcohol, drug use and gambling.

 

Our Mission

 

To provide a safe, structured, therapeutic environment that allows those with alcohol, other drugs and/ or gambling problems and diagnosed and undiagnosed mental health issues to work through a program of self development that focuses on the individual’s needs, goals and strengths.

We aim to facilitate change in a way that recognizes rights, responsibilities and personal development, not only for the individual, but also for the families and the wider community.

Maryfields Day Recovery Centre offers a unique client focused service, not only to those people seeking help to address their addiction but also to their families and the community at large.


The Maryfields team is dedicated to delivering high quality treatment with optimum care in a safe and supportive environment. In this we respect an individual’s dignity, integrity and confidentiality. The Maryfields Program gives hope empowerment and a positive alternative towards achieving a greater quality of life.


Maryfields is a special works of the Society of St Vincent de Paul and shares the Society’s philosophy. It is a Christian based community organization, which welcomes all people regardless of race, religion or philosophy.

 

Criteria for Admission

 

Over 18 years of age

Must be detoxed (we can assist with referral)

Suitability for the program is determined through assessment interviews.

No court within 28 days

Stable on medications

 

Referral

 

Self and other agency referrals accepted over the phone during office hours Monday to Friday. A suitable time for a face to face assessment will be established at intake.


Assesments

 

Appointments for assessment are made by telephone. Assessments are face to face only.

Tuesday          9.00am – 4.00pm
Wednesday      9.00am – 4.00pm.
Thursday        9.00am  - 4.00pm
Friday             9.00am-12.30pm Includes Family Program

 

Cost

 

The cost of the program is $350, $200 is payable upon admission and the remainder is paid over the first 6 weeks.

 

Transport

 

Maryfields is situated in CBD of Campbelltown. Accessible by public transport, 3 minute walk from the train station.

 

Aftercare

 

Aftercare is offered on completion of the 13 week program and is available Wednesday  & Fridays 9.00am- 12.30pm.
