Winter Appeal 2010:
No one should have to know this...

This winter, thousands of people in crisis are left with no option but to do whatever they can to make it through the long, harsh, challenging and often lonely months.  Out of necessity, many have to rely on survival techniques to get by.
 
Many disadvantaged families know to sleep together in one room to save on heating.  No one should have to know this. 

Many homeless people know that it is safer to stay in groups, as they try to avoid violence on the streets.  No one should have to know this.
 
Many people with no other option know that the cheapest rent in the city is in a storage facility.  No one should have to know this.

This winter, the St Vincent de Paul Society invites you to help the thousands of people who do know these things, by giving to the 2010 Winter Appeal.

The Society hopes to raise $4.5 million nationally during the Winter Appeal, which will enable us to continue providing material, financial and practical assistance to people in need.
