Matthew Talbot Homeless Services Race Day 22 May 2010
The annual Matthew Talbot Homeless Services Race Day will delight guests again at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse on Saturday 22 May 2010.
This year’s Race Day will raise funds in support of a very special service, ‘Our Lady of the Way’ refuge for older single women. Located in Sydney’s outer west in a private location, ‘Our Lady of the Way’ is the only refuge in NSW that accommodates older single women, most of whom are escaping domestic violence and are aged in their 50s and 60s.
Kim Waugh, Ambassador for the Race Day says, “I hope you will join me in celebrating over 70 years of good work undertaken by Matthew Talbot Homeless Services. Everyone knows someone who has faced troubling times, and we must support and be grateful that there are people who care to dedicate their lives to helping them.”
Each year our loyal supporters gather at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse for a fun and colourful day trackside, and to raise money for our special works. We hope this year to raise a record amount. For more information or to make a booking please click here.
