Making Material Donations

Vinnies welcomes your donations of household goods, clothing and personal items and can find ways to help those in need with a wide range of your in-kind donations.

Please drop off your donations at the Vinnies Centre near you, or call if you have items that you need a truck to pick up your donation. When you contact us to arrange a pick-up of your donations you will be informed of the pick-up schedule for your area. Click here to locate the nearest Vinnies Centre to you.

The Vinnies Centre or Depot near you would welcome your donation of household and personal gifts. All proceeds from your gifts are used to assist those in need in your local community.

The goods you donate are offered to those who are struggling to make ends meet. Where there is a surplus of goods of a particular kind, Vinnies Centres sell the surplus at reasonable prices to raise the funds needed to help those who need other kinds of help.

Your local Vinnies Centre will gladly accept the following kinds of goods:

Second hand clothing
Bric-a-brac
Serviceable new and used furniture
Books in readable condition

Vinnies is not able to accept (for legal and safety reasons):

Electrical appliances
Stained mattresses

In Western Australia...

Donations of quality goods such as clothing, furniture, household goods and books are used by the Society to provide welfare support to people in need or are sold in the Vinnies Retail Centres to generate revenue for the Society to continue its good work in the community.

Material Donations to the Society can be made using the clothing bins across the state, dropped at the Osborne Park Clothing & Furniture Depot, arranged via pick up or at any of the 45 Vinnies Retail Centres.
