Disability Services

The St Vincent de Paul Society strives to provide caring, supportive assistance to members of the community living with a disability.

Throughout the Society in Australia, there a number of disability vocational services who coordinate supported employment services for people with an intellectual or physical disability.

The employment services operate as a Special Work of the St Vincent de Paul Society. They are professional businesses and aim to provide high quality work at competitive prices and offer excellent customer service.

In keeping with our purpose, we provide an opportunity for people with a disability to learn and develop skills through meaningful employment in a productive and positive environment.

Some of the services available are:

Greene Villa (NSW)

Greene Villa, Coonamble provides housing for six long-term full-time and one part-time resident with intellectual or physical disabilities. Residents take active participation in supported community activities, and four of the residents again attended the Tri State Games, for athletes with a disability from regional areas. This year all the residents travelled to the Gold Coast for an annual holiday.

Ozanam Enterprises (VIC)

Ozanam Enterprises, located in Mornington, aims to provide training and employment for people with disabilities to assist them to reach their full potential in the community. Over 50 people with a range of disabilities are involved in full or part time employment and work skills training at Ozanam Enterprises.

Ozanam Industries (NSW)

Ozanam Industries is a Special Work of the St Vincent de Paul Society dedicated to supplying high quality service solutions to the Australian business community. Ozanam Industries proudly employs over 100 Australians with varying forms of disabilities in a supervised, monitored and supportive work environment.

Tastex Knitwear and Uniforms (TAS)

Tastex Knitwear Inc. has been producing knitwear in Tasmania, Australia, with a reputation for unsurpassed quality and workmanship since 1946. Tastex is an “Australian Disability Enterprise” employing 24 people. Fifteen of their employees have intellectual disabilities. They are a Special Work of the St Vincent de Paul Society in Tasmania

The St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland's Toowoomba Disability Services Program provides supported accommodation services for people living with a disability. The service aims to help people living with a disability to reach their potential, and take advantage of all life has to offer.
