A bequest to the Society is a legacy of love.
How often it has been said: “If only there was some way I could do more.” A bequest to the Society in your Will does enable you to do more … much, much more. It is a powerful reflection of the values and principles you treasure.
It will enable you to do what perhaps you cannot do during your lifetime. It will also enable you to create a legacy of love that is a testimony to your kindness, concern and care for those less fortunate than ourselves. It will empower you to continue your life’s aims, even after your own lifetime and thereby encourage others to do likewise.
What a great way to continue making a positive, life-changing contribution to people who need it most!
Most of our State Offices have factsheets or brochures to assist, and provide appropriate bequest wording, for the increasing number of community-minded people who wish to make such a lasting memorial through their Will to help their local community.
If you, as a forward-thinking, concerned and caring citizen, would like to consider making your community a better place through a bequest to the Society, please contact your St Vincent de Paul State Office for a fact sheet or brochure detailing your States specific requirements.

Did you know that well over half Australia’s adult population, either do not have a Will, or have a Will that is seriously out of date?
Did you know that after making provision for any loved ones in a Will, you can help make the future a better place for coming generations, simply by also including a bequest (whether large or small) to the St Vin
cent de Paul Society?
Did you know that recent research throughout Australia by the Queensland University of Technology has revealed that people who have already made a bequest to charity in their Will, say how simple it is to help shape the future in this way?
A gift to the Society in a Will is an ideal way for you to ensure your long-lasting, good works through the Society’s members, volunteers and employees. What a great way for you to plant your caring, friendly footprint on the future! What a great way for you to outlive your lifetime!
How to do good works at age 106
During 2009, the Society received the proceeds of a bequest from the Will of a very special lady who passed away in April. Actually, she would have turned 107 in October 2009. Still doing good works at age 106… what an achievement! You too can set an example for others to follow.
Imagine the difference a gift in your Will would make to the Society’s help for those who most need assistance in our community.
Have you made a Will yet? Does it need to be updated? If you would like more information (obligation-free and in strict confidence) about how you can make a gift to the Society in your Will, all you need do is phone the State Donor Relations Coordinator on (07) 3010 1072.
